Oh the Simulated Horror!

Busy busy busy! That three day weekend was a blast of fun staying at home with my Husband and Baby, working together to do housecleaning and then relaxing to a Big Bang Theory marathon. But the work week arrived all too quickly and while I've had it fairly easy with two days at the store and housework in between, my poor Husband has had frustrations. :( Hopefully the weekend will help calm his nerves and reset him to a happier place.

Meanwhile, I've been tweaking an old story, revamping an old blog, assembling two fun new promo posts, doing some fun long-distance wedding prep with a friend, and making the horrible discovery that at the laundry-mat someone must've taken several socks, two pairs of baby jeans and one of my favorite dresses! *gasps in horror* It's terrible! After I drown my sorrows in chocolate and thrift store shopping, I should recover. But it was one of my most favorite dresses!

Springtime Baby

Baby and I were home alone bored one afternoon so we decided to get out of the house and hang out on the lawn. When she was done examining bugs, sticks and grass, we had a spontaneous photo session. She kept alternating between sticking her tongue out or playing with her ears the whole time.

This is the view from our porch. That little brown dot is the cute sleepy baby.

She had a nap afterwards.

April Flowers

I love flowers so here is a little bit about the April flowers we recently had.

This is a sweet little rose that grows down the road a little by the restaurant. The baby later mashed it up.

This is a very bleary picture of the baby discovering a lilac for the first time and then attempting to eat it.

This trimming of a lilac looked so cute on the very wriggly baby.

I'm pretty sure these are freesias we planted last year. They smelled wonderful!

We had a little rainstorm that left everything all beautifully damp so I took some pictures.

And this is a random bush in Grass Valley.

A Busy March Saturday

We had a busy Saturday in late March. There was a barn dance that evening so after a day of doing laundry, I got the baby ready to go and then Daddy played with her on her little tricycle that she is still too little to use by herself. They had a blast.

And then we arrived early at the dance so we walked around the parking lot and checked out the little play yard.

The baby had fun exploring her new surroundings.

Although she didn't much care for the weedy grass.

And then with Daddy's help, she discovered the stairs and learned how to go up and down while holding tightly to our hands.

He showed her the spiny things which she liked and they went down the slide. The baby apparently doesn't like swings or slides. Oh well; she'll grow into them.

And then the dancing started!

It was a long night for everyone.

The baby got bored and chilly after awhile but had fun sitting with her grandpa.

And modeling her uncle's hat.
